Prof. Tim Ibell FREng is known for work on novel forms of construction with concrete, including flexible formwork, and research into structural and environmental monitoring of buildings to correlate against wellbeing and productivity of the users. He has been PI or CI on 11 EPSRC grants worth £5.3M was Head of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Bath and was 2015 President of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
