Agro-Food System Innovation without Greenhouse Gases

Our agricultural and food system affects all of us but would need to undergo complete transformation in order for us to completely eliminate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.
Considering the required changes to achieve this suggests many opportunities for innovation that deliver environmental, societal, and economic benefits. While negative emissions technologies might in future allow some continued emissions from our agricultural and food system, they are not yet available and may deploy only slowly. We therefore explore how the sector could operate with no emissions at all, in order to identify promising and under-explored opportunities for technology and business innovation.
